Little Italy

Event: Mercato Market

Location: Little Italy, San Diego CA
Date: October 18, 2008

Today, me and my friend "Fan" decided to go on a one-day trolley trip around San Diego. Our plan was to start out by going to Little Italy, then Balboa Park and Downtown San Diego. Therefore we started off the day by travelling by trolley to Little Italy. Every Saturday morning, Little Italy has the "Mercato Market", which is basically like a morning market where people sell fresh fruits, breakfast, flowers, bakeries and drinks by the streets. Being in Little Italy really made me feel like I was in Italy. With the italian songs playing by the corner of the street..the smell of Italian food...and the surrounding looked very European rather than American. We had a fun time walking through the market..tasting new kinda food and eating some crab cakes and garlic bread. After that, we just kinda walked around the street and had lunch at an Italian restaurant of course..hahaha.. The pizza was honestly FANTASTIC!! the smell, the ingridients, the taste, the flavor...everything put together just makes it taste so so good :) cause seriously...how can u leave there without trying their pizza?? hahaha...plus I love Italian food..
I wouldnt mind going there every saturday for lunch...haahaha...
Enjoy what looks like Italy...haha
