Balboa Park Part II

Event: "Globes"
Location: Balboa Park, San Diego CA

Date: October 18, 2008

Part II of my journey around Balboa Park is the most fascinating and more interesting part...well, for me atleast :) This parts covers alot alot of pictures of artistic sculptures that are each shaped like the globe. Each globes carries a certain meaning, and a specific message to the people on what's happening around our globe today. From global warming, recycling, human population, and many more. The main message is to bring awareness to people about how certain human actions affect the globe and nature, and also send out messages on solutions to how we can all work together to save the earth. I found this idea really unique and I think people can get effected by coming here, reading and seeing what's drawn on each globe. Its another way of passing on the message to people about global warming and other issues. I was really blown away by the number of globes there were and how each and every one of them stood for different issues. Its funny how most of us don't see the worl as a whole..we always think that what we do only affects the things and people around us...but truthfully, it causes an effect on the entire world. It was nice seeing so many people going around the globes and reading the notes that are below each globe. It was truly an eye-opening experience for me. Something that I will probably not forget for a long long time.

I hope if u all are free, take the time to look at each globe and see how much hard work the artists put in to create the globes and try to figure out the messages that they are trying to convey.
Enjoy!
